David Le Guern is a distinguished leader and top performer at JPMorgan Chase,
known for his passion for problem-solving and his ability to navigate complex
challenges. As the Executive Director in Macro Operations, David serves as the
Global Head of the Fixed Income Finance (FIF) Middle Office, overseeing a team
of 47 professionals across seven cities and four countries, including New York,
London, and Paris.
With 18 years of experience in the finance industry, David is committed to staying
at the forefront of the industry's most significant challenges. Before his current
role, he excelled in the Rates and Credit Portfolio Group asset classes at
JPMorgan and in commodities at Barclays Capital. In these roles, he managed a
diverse range of products, from vanilla flow to more structured and exotic
offerings.
David's leadership philosophy emphasizes real-time feedback, regular
communication, and strong governance to ensure effective collaboration across
global teams. He is adept at building rapport and trust with stakeholders, which
has been instrumental in successful negotiations and project implementations.
David was raised and educated in South Africa, earning a Bachelor of Business
Science degree in Finance and Economics with First Class Honours from the
University of Natal in 2006. During his academic career, he received the Dean鈥檚
Commendation and was invited to join the Golden Key International Honour
Society in 2003, 2005 and 2006, maintaining an impressive average of 83%.
