Jim has nearly 30 years of experience in the Â鶹´«Ã½ Lending Industry. A seasoned FCA registered investment banking and financial services professional, he has a proven track record of designing and delivering bespoke solutions for institutional clients across the securities finance ecosystem.

Jim joined MUFG in 2021 to support Tim Smollen’s team, in building a leading third-party and local custody alternative provider within the Agency Lending space. Prior to that, he was Co-Head of Agency Lending for EMEA & APAC at Deutsche Bank, where he oversaw the firms ASL program from 2019 to 2021. Before this, he led Deutsche Bank’s International Equity Lending desk for over a decade, establishing himself as a recognised expert and thought leader in the field. Earlier in his career, Jim held key roles at Dresdner/Commerzbank between 2004 and 2009 working alongside Tim Smollen and Jay Schreyer to build a third-party agency lending platform. Prior to this between 1996 and 2004 he also held trading positions across both Fixed Income and Equities at Deutsche Bank and State Street and spent several years in Hong Kong, where he successfully established and grew Deutsche Bank’s Asia Pacific Agency Lending business.

Jim began his career in 1990 at the Royal Bank of Scotland, covering North American and Latin American markets within the Â鶹´«Ã½ Services division.

Darren Crowther is the General Manager for Broadridge’s Â鶹´«Ã½ Finance and Collateral Management (SFCM) division. His entrepreneurial attitude to seeking innovative solutions for market problems has Darren continually spearheading new approaches to streamline the Â鶹´«Ã½ Finance industry. Darren has over 20 years’ experience in the Â鶹´«Ã½ Finance and software business and has been with Broadridge since the acquisition of 4sight in 2016. From 4sights beginning in 2003 Darren has served in a number of leadership roles, including Vice President of Solution Delivery. He is a business champion for Diversity, Equity & Inclusion facilitating various initiatives across Broadridge.

Andrew has spent 35 years in the City working in the post trade space.

He started at Citibank in the Worldwide Â鶹´«Ã½ Services group where he ultimately managed the European Customer Service team for the Clearing & Custody businesses before moving to Deutsche’s Investment Bank to run middle office for Money Markets and Fixed income.  Leaving to join Swift scrl, he led the Â鶹´«Ã½ Strategy team and started the Government Relations function through his involvement in a number of pan-european initiatives including Giovannini. Subsequently, he spent 13 years at DTCC where he was both CEO of DTCC’s largest Derivatives Trade Repository, DDRL and the head of DTCC’s Regulatory Affairs for UK, EU and APAC. From 2021-2023, he was also Chair of the Data Standards Committee for the Bank of England’s ‘Transforming Data Collection’ initiative. 

Andrew left DTCC in early 2023 to start his own advisory business, BlackWater Consultancy Ltd.

Today, Andrew is the Chair of the UK Accelerated Settlement taskforce leading the planning and implementation of the UK migration to T+1 in 2027.

He is also Chair of the Strategic Advisory Group for TaxTec Ltd, a fintech specialising in tax recovery in the post trade space as well as a Senior Advisor to Financial Services clients of Apco Worldwide in Brussels and London.

He has a BSc in Materials Technology from Surrey University and an MBA from Manchester Business School.

Ben Johnson is a Director at Forvis Mazars Consulting where he assists Financial Services companies with their strategic change portfolios. Ben is a member of numerous industry working groups and is co-lead of the Operational workstreams of the UK’s Accelerated Settlement Taskforce (T+1).

Neelan Pavan is a seasoned financial services professional with over 15 years of expertise specializing in securities finance, fixed income, and post-trade product management. Currently, he serves as a Technical Product Manager on the Post‑Trade Product team at MarketAxess in London, where he drives innovation in trade matching and regulatory reporting solutions tailored for near‑real‑time exception detection and resolution.

Previously, Neelan built his credentials as Product Manager for Fixed Income & Repo at Pirum Systems (2017–2023), developing market-leading capabilities for collateral and risk management. His earlier tenure at Commerzbank AG (2009–2015) culminated in his role as Assistant Vice President covering short‑term interest rates and repo operations. He also held positions at Dresdner Kleinwort, Deutsche Bank, and the Bank of England.

Roy Zimmerhansl is a recognised expert in securities finance and collateral management with a strong custody and clearing background. Roy has a track record of success, leading businesses at agent banks, in prime brokerage, collateral trading and fintech, both in start-up mode and revitalising stale enterprises
